Privacy policy
This policy explains what information JV5R Consulting ("we", "us") collects and how we use it, on this website and in Content Curator, our application that publishes social media posts to Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts on behalf of the businesses we work with.
This website
This website has no accounts, forms, cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, and we use it only to reply to you. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Content Curator: what we access
Content Curator uses the Meta Platform (Facebook and Instagram APIs). It only accesses Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts whose owners have authorized us or shared them with our business. For those accounts it accesses:
- account identifiers and names (Page ID and name, Instagram account ID and username);
- a Page access token Meta issues so we can publish as the Page;
- the posts and comments we publish, and the IDs and links Meta returns for them.
We do not read private messages, follower lists, or other people's personal information, and we do not use the Meta Platform to collect information about the people who view or engage with a post.
Content Curator: how we use it
- To publish videos, captions, and comments that the account owner (or our operator acting for them) has reviewed and approved.
- To keep a record of what was published where, so the same content is never posted twice and the account owner can see what went out.
We never post without that approval, and we do not use Meta data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the publishing service described here.
Storage and security
Access tokens are stored in the operating system's encrypted credential store on our systems and are never written to files, logs, or source code. Records of published posts (IDs, links, dates) are kept on our systems.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent any information. We share content only with Meta, to publish it at the account owner's direction, and we disclose information only if the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
We keep account identifiers, tokens, and publishing records while we provide the service. You can ask us to delete them at any time; see Data deletion. We complete deletion requests within 30 days. Posts already published live on your own Facebook Page or Instagram account, and you can remove them there at any time.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
